Donate to Frankie's Fund
Frankie Willow Fitzgerald, our Rainbow Spirit Bird passed away on October 16, 2022. Frankie blazed brightly for her short time with us. Frankie made us all better by being in her presence and we will be forever grateful for the many teachings she has passed on.
Frankie's sense of adventure often left us reeling in her wake. Her connection to nature and animals transcended her humanness. She projected a calm, compassionate, caring energy that allowed her to develop deep bonds with all creatures.
Frankie opened our eyes to so many things. She saw and noticed things that we did not. She felt things that we did not. She experienced everything in a state of awe and wonder.
Frankie’s Fund will attempt to honour Frankie by continuing to shine her love and compassion on all creatures - from the immense to the tiny.

As of August 2023, Frankie's Fund has raised nearly $34,000 and made donations of $7,000 to Frankie's hero's at Australia Seabird and Turtle Rescue in Ballina and $5,000 to RunDIPG which is researching to find cures to DIPG, the incurable brain cancer that shortened Frankie's wonder-filled life. In the future we anticipate making further donations to these groups and others like the Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital.
Frankie's Fund is a fund of Australian Communities Foundation, which is a public charitable foundation. All donations over $2 are tax-deductible.
